Midori Tamura graduated from the Toho School of Music in Tokyo, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and holds a Master of Music Degree from the London City University.
Among her teachers were J.Havill, V.Szervansky and D.Takeno. She has won many prizes including 1st prize at the 4th Intercollegiate Beethoven Piano Competition, and was awarded a Performance Fellow at the GSMD during 1998-2000.Sincer her London debut recital in 1991, her London appearances include: Wigmore Hall, Japan Festival and both BBC TV and Radio, and she performed throughout Europe.
In Japan, Midori enjoys being a concert pianist as well as playing a leading role for the educational project throughout the country. She has appeared in NHK-BS, and currently, she is involved with the Japan Foundation for Regional Arts-Activities.
