Georges Pludermacher

With his outstanding first-class virtuoso talent and original and bold interpretations, Prudelmacher has established himself as one of the leading pianists of our time.

He started playing the piano at the age of three, and entered the Paris National Conservatoire at just 11 years old. Studied under Lucette Decave, Jacques Février, Geneviève Joie and Henriette Puig-Roger. He has won numerous awards, including the 2nd prize at the Vianna da Motta International Piano Competition and the Leeds International Piano Competition, and in 1979 won the Geza Anda International Piano Competition.

His career as a soloist has been spectacular, performing with G. Solti, Cv Dohnányi, P. Boulez and others. Deeply devoted to chamber music, he has performed with C. Ferras, I. Gitlis, N. Milstein, etc. In recent years, he has performed with the Pasquier Trio, Amadeus Quartet, E. Haefliger, M. Portal, Y. Bashmet, JF. He has collaborated with Esser on many occasions.

He has performed at international music festivals not only in France, but also in Salzburg, Vienna, Montreux, Aix-en-Provence, Edinburgh, Avignon, Florence, Tours, Strasbourg, Barcelona and Madrid.

In parallel with many concert activities, he continues to try to interpret classical works more deeply, and shows a unique interpretation of the complete sonatas of Mozart and Schubert. For his performances of Debussy's etudes, he won three awards: La Academy du Disc Français, Le Monde de la Musique and Diapason. He also won the Charles Kross Academy Award for Beethoven's Diabelli Variations.

He has a deep knowledge of contemporary music, and also demonstrates a variety of talents, such as working on jazz performances. In addition to teaching at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris, he also composes music.

Known for his flexible interpretation of his works, his music is both deeply crafted and daring to take on new challenges. I'm doing my best.

At the Reims Music Festival "Les Flanneries Musicale", he recorded all Beethoven's sonatas and Diabelli Variations live on a piano using the 4th pedal, the 'Harmonic' pedal, and attracted a great deal of attention. This recording has been released on the TranArt label as a 10-disc set.
