Sophie Dartigalongue, Fagott
Born in France in 1991, Sophie Dartigalongue starts her musical education with guitar and clarinet. She came to the bassoon in 2003. After studies at the CNSM of Lyon (teacher C.Colombo and J. Pignoly) she came to the Karajan Academy (teacher D.Damiano) and in 2012 she won the solo contrebassoon position in the Berlin Philharmonic, since 2015 is she the new principal bassoon of the state Opera of Vienna and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
She won the ARD Competition in 2013 and was laureate to several others competitions : Crusell, Muri, Audimozart, Lodz, IDRS fox gillet and young artist competition … She is also awarded the prestigious Beethoven Ring prize in 2015 in Bonn.
As a soloist, Sophie Dartigalongue played with the Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio , the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Radio Orchestra in Munich, the southwest german Philharmonic orchestra Konstanz, the south west Radio Symphony orchestra Stuttgart…
